There are also multiple other fields that utilize the skills of the ultrasound technician such as: 1) Acoustic ecology, 2) Acoustic oceanigraphy, 3) Sonar, 4) Field recording and 5)Animal communications to name but a few.
It is clear to see that the field of ultrasound use has been expanding rapidly.
There has also been quite a surge in the gathering and recording of biological sound. For example, the sounds of bats, whales and crickets to name a few. Software has also been developed as a result of this type of research.
