A large group of Indians who had been charged in China with smuggling diamonds has been ordered to be deported from the country and a number of other smugglers connected with the case will have to stay in China from anywhere from three to six years to serve time due to their connection with the smuggling operation. With a significant amount of diamonds that were to be used in wedding rings, it would appear that over seven million dollars of diamonds was almost smuggled through the country. The international community seems to have approved of the various sentences and deportations which were largely appropriate for their crimes.
