August 20, 2008 10:12 am MiscellaneousWhat should you look for in a good Bible Atlas? Go to www.bible-study-tools.org and Bible Study Tools offers a list of what to look for. These include: RCENCY: Is it up to date? Check the publication date; a map printed even 10 years ago may be out of date; READABILITY: It should be easy to read, easy to locate Biblical places; RESEARCH: It shoild be basded on the best, most in-depth Biblical scholarship, written by recognized authorities in their fields. Some good Bible Atlases would be:The Harper Atlas of the Bible, The NIV Atlas of the Bible, The Oxford Bible Atlas, The Moody Atlas of Bible Lands.
