June 24, 2008 4:15 am SportsWhen it comes to the finest gifts in Dover, the Delaware Made General Store has all that you need. Originally located in the historic 1775 John Bullen house the DMGS made the move to the “old Sears building” on West Loockerman Street in downtown Dover. From the minute you walk into the Dover Delaware Made General Store you can feel the history, heritage, and pride of the residents of the First State in the United States. On old bookshelves and crates around the store, you will find finely crafted souvenirs, gifts, and apparel, some of which were locally created. Although the owners of Delaware Made General Store, Tom Smith and Schuyler Anderson, strive to provide items created by Delaware artisans, their store also carries almost any item related to Delaware. It is their love of their state, both home and adopted, as well as their pride in creating a solid business that has allowed them to prosper in Dover, Delaware for the past 17 years. After their most recent upgrade in location, it is safe to say that this store will be there for some time. Therefore those visiting Delaware will all get a chance to experience this unique shop.
