I really want to start a fencing club at my university. However, I am afraid I might not be able to get the university to come up with the money. I need to write up a proposal and figure out how much it will cost, and see if I can find alumni to sponsor the club if the university won’t pay for it. How much will the fencing equipment cost to get started? What equipment do we need to get started, and what can wait until the club is more established? Would it be too much to expect members to buy their own equipment?
